Letters of recommendation from teachers and counselors MUST be requested through Scoir, regardless of how you are applying. If using the Common App, please do not add your counselor's email or teacher's email, see specific Common App instructions here.
Request a Letter of Recommendation from a teacher or counselor:
Log in to Scoir
Sign the FERPA Release and Waiver
Under the "My Colleges" tab--Go to the far right-hand top of the screen and click--"Docs."
Select "New Request" on bottom right of page
Enter the name of the teacher/counselor and select name from dropdown menu
Choose the type of recommendation and add any notes for the recommender
Submit the form
Check the status of your request in Scoir at any time.

If Using The Common App:
Complete the required FERPA authorization release in Common App.
Invite your counselor and/or teacher(s) by inputting their first and last name ONLY. Do not put in their email address.
Select 'yes' for the question regarding your teacher/counselor completing an evaluation for your application.
Request the letters of recommendation in Scoir using the steps above.
Request a Letter of Recommendation from someone outside of FCA:
Send an email to the recommender requesting the letter of recommendation
Ask them to email the complete letter of recommendation either directly to the college or to your FCA counselor, who will then upload it into Scoir and send it to the college.
